Kat Andrus

Kat Andrus manages all aspects of the Youth Cycling Coalition. She has a background in youth programming and education as a former elementary and middle school teacher but is first and foremost a passionate advocate for social equality. Dedicated to helping youth discover their full potential using the bike as a gateway, she also serves on the board of the National Youth Bike Council.

She firmly believes in the bike as a solution to a large majority of the worlds’ problems and can’t imagine her life without it. Personally, she most often utilizes a bike as a commuter or for scenic bike packing trips. Kat is also a bilingual hobby welder and avid gardener who loves to adventure in the outdoors.

Her home base is Lawrence, KS and she can be reached at kat@peopleforbikes.org.
