USA Cycling

USA Cycling is the national governing body for the sport of cycling in the United States and oversees the disciplines of road, track, mountain bike, cyclocross, and BMX.  With a mission to develop the sport of cycling in the United States at all levels, USA Cycling supports cyclists from enthusiasts just beginning in the sport to seasoned professionals.  In 2019, USA Cycling funded a new initiative focused on Youth and Collegiate development, established with the goal of helping to foster a life-long love of the sport from the time a young rider takes their first ride through joining a collegiate team or club. USA Cycling supports young riders through Centers of Excellence grants providing funding for junior development teams and clubs, and financial credits that help to reduce barriers of entry to the sport. Finally, through our partnership with the Center for SafeSport we work to educate coaches, parents and administrators on how to create a safe and positive environment for young athletes, supporting their physical, emotional and social development by promoting an environment free of misconduct and abuse.
